BUDAPEST, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Hungarian real estate investment company Appeninn APPB.BU, which last week closed a deal worth more than €100 million ($115 million) in Poland, is considering a listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, a source familiar with the matter said.Appeninn, which acquired 11 retail properties from Polish real estate operator Dekada last week, is also considering increasing its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe, Appeninn Chief Executive Gyorgyi Szucs told Reuters on Thursday.“The Dekada transaction gives Appeninn a material retail platform in Poland alongside its existing office and logistics investments,” Szucs said. “Poland will remain a priority market, and we will continue to assess further income-producing assets there and selectively elsewhere in Central and Eastern Europe.”The source familiar with the matter said Appeninn was considering a listing on the Warsaw bourse. The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter, did not provide further details.Budapest-listed Appeninn declined to comment on any potential Warsaw listing plans. Its latest deal is part of a strategy adopted in 2022 to reshape its portfolio, selling tourism and development projects and lower-yield assets while expanding holdings of income-producing office, retail and logistics properties in Hungary and Poland, emerging Europe's biggest economy. The Dekada acquisition boosts the market value of Appeninn's Polish portfolio to more than €170 million, spanning office, logistics and retail assets. Appeninn entered the Polish market in 2023. Based on publicly available transaction data, the acquisition of the 11 properties from Dekada ranks among the three largest retail property transactions announced in Poland so far in 2026.Between 2022 and 2025, Appeninn’s rental revenue increased to €23 million from €8 million, while its equity rose to €128 million from €83 million.
