NKE - Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook and Nike CEO Elliott Hill just gave Nike's stock another boost.The sneaker company's stock price rose 2% in after-hours trading after Hill and Cook, the lead director on Nike's board, disclosed they had bought nearly 50,000 shares in Nike between them. Each paid roughly $1 million for the investment.
Hermes and Gucci each saw sales impacted by Middle Eastern turmoil.Hermes International shares, trading at 34 times earnings, got pummeled on Wednesday after the luxury-goods maker reported slower-than-expected first-quarter sales growth.Hermes reported 5.6% sales growth in the first quarter, below analyst expectations of sales growth closer to 7%.
