"Istvan Kincs, the main shareholder and CEO of Ormester [BSE:ORMESTER], a Hungarian security guard company, would consider selling his majority stake in the company to a suitable buyer. Kincs rejected an approach to acquire Ormester from a large international physical security firm eight years ago. However, at the age of 62 he would consider similar offers and hire an advisor to examine it. Kincs nonetheless mentioned that he is under no pressure to sell, adding that his son and daughter are working at the company. Kincs himself could stay on board as a consultant after a potential sale. Ormester's sales were HUF 950m (EUR 3m) in 2017, and grew 20%-30% a year in recent years, Kincs said. The company's pre-tax profit was HUF 23m, assets were HUF 546m and market cap is HUF 390m (EUR 1.2m). Istvan Kincs and his immediate family own a 70% stake of Ormester, a few Hungarian individuals have smaller stakes and the free float is just more than 6%, company data show. However, a delisting is not on the agenda, because the process is rather complicated, Kincs said. Kincs declined to set the minimum offer he would take seriously. At the moment there are no potential suitors to be seen, he said, and Ormester is concentrating on implementing its new strategy, he said. When the company listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange in 2010, it aimed to become a pan-regional company serving midcap clients. However, several small acquisitions in the neighboring countries, such as Romania, did not work out as the new subsidiaries were unprofitable, he said. Over the past two years, these subsidiaries were closed down and Ormester refocused on the domestic market, particularly large corporations, and has signed some substantial contracts, Kincs said."
